Massage therapy is a later-in-life career choice for me. After decades in writing, research and transcription, I wanted to work in a field that was more physical, provided more immediate satisfaction, and promoted something I care about like physical and emotional health.
It has been a rewarding fit, as I enjoy working with people one on one, helping them to carve out space to quiet their minds and bodies in the midst of our charged-up, overstimulating society.
My other passion is feral feline rescue, working outside to help trap feral cats and deliver them to new barn/farm homes when they cannot return to their colony. I started Friends of Feral Felines (www.feralfelines.net) in 1993 and it continues strong and growing.
I also love to read, especially biographies and memoirs, history, and psychology. On my regular walks I get engrossed in photography and have had a few local photo exhibits. You may also find me cross-country skiing, watching cheesy TV shows, doing acrylic paintings, and keeping a dream journal.
